A bottle of Sommerau Castle Sweet Red wine has been opened and in my fridge for a while. It has a twist cap. How long is it good for? Could I still drink it after a month and if I do, what would happen?

So long as it’s refrigerated, it should still be fine. You will know if it’s not, it will be quite sour.

Once you open a bottle of wine, how long before it spoils? It will be stored in the fridge
so it sounds like wines with more sugars go bad more quickly?
the wine I'm thinking of is a dry red cabernet sauvignon
if you do smell vinegar, is it safe to drink? i.e. it won't harm you but just will taste off?

I have an 80 cubic foot tank of shielding gas for my welder. It's 75% argon and 25% CO2. I can regulate the pressure of it coming out the nozzle from anywhere between 0 to 45 psi. Would it be a good idea to put a little of the gas into an open bottle before putting the cork back on it. There nothing more that I hate than opening a half empty bottle of wine and having it taste like vinegar.

Answer by Justin TTry to hammer the cork into the wine bottle. The only problem is you have to drink the whole bottle in one sitting.
